About us

Paeroa Lakeside Homestay is a luxurious Bed & Breakfast venue in Taupo that is absolute lakefront and has its own private beach and jetty. Located in sheltered Acacia Bay, we offer the best Taupo lakeside accommodation, we are surrounded by gardens and native bush with uninterrupted panoramic views of Lake Taupo and beyond.

We are just minutes from the Taupo town centre and the many activities that our Lake Region has to offer.

John and Barbara are both 5th generation New Zealanders. We retired from our sheep and beef farm, so that we could enjoy living in our peaceful, lakeside home.

Amongst our interests are travel, golf, gardening, fishing, hospitality and Rotary International. We have traveled extensively in New Zealand and overseas.

Dear Barbara and John,

The rest of our trip was so wonderful that we did not want to go home. More fishing, more horse trekking, Milford sound cruise, walking about glorious country and shopping (I now have a beautiful new shearling coat in the closet.)

Although we enjoyed every hotel we stayed in, Paeroa Lakeside Homestay was the highlight of our trip. I loved the intimacy, the gardens, the delicious breakfasts, the warmth and friendliness of our charming hosts and the perfect location -- we were able to stay in one place and explore the countryside from Rotorua to Hawkes Bay, Napier and Tongariro.
